Show Report: 3 Inches of Blood California Conquest

Writer: HecticHectic

I'm a huge 3 Inches of Blood fan, but the last time I saw them live was at Thee Parkside in 2012. So I was excited to catch their 2 show California mini tour to start 2025.

I missed the opener Intranced's set unfortunately, getting my drink on next door to the Regency at the Route 101 dive bar. Drinks at the Regency Ballroom are pricey like a sports stadium for some reason, yet more limited. So pregaming is essential.

Haunt was pretty good, very classic heavy metal sound. My first time seeing them. They had a ton of records on their merch table, which I forgot to check out at the end of the night.

Toxic Holocaust was a fast 3 piece crossover thrash band, in the tradition of DRI or Iron Reagan. Their guitarist played a bright pink guitar that was so loud it made the rest of the band look like they were in black and white:

3 Inches of Blood put on a fantastic show, playing a lot of their Advance and Vanquish record for its 20th anniversary, but also plenty of other classics and finishing off with the anthemic "Deadly Sinners." This was just a mini-tour for some reason, but if they go out for a longer run you should definitely check them out!
